HSC Logic 2nd Paper 1st Chapter Note

HSC Logic 2nd Paper 1st Chapter Note. Logical definition. Logical describes something that comes from clear reasoning. Using a fire extinguisher to put it out a fire is a logical step. Trying to put it out with gasoline is not.

The adjective logical is rooted in the Greek word logos, which means “reason, idea, or word.” So calling something logical means it’s based on reason and sound ideas — in other words, thought out with mathematical precision and removed from emotion. Sounds strict and boring, but it’s the orderliness and consistency of logic that helps you write a great argument or figure out how to solve a problem.

Logic has two meanings first, it describes the use of valid reasoning in some activity; second, it names the normative study of reasoning or a branch thereof. In the latter sense, it features most prominently in the subjects of philosophy, mathematics, and computer science. Logic is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Logic developed an interest in music as a teenager, and ventured into a musical career in early 2009, releasing Logic: The Mixtape and a mixtape titled Young, Broke & Infamous in 2010. He signed with Visionary Music Group, before releasing three more mixtapes over three years.

In the West, logic was established as a formal discipline by Aristotle, who gave it a fundamental place in philosophy. The study of logic was part of the classical trivium, which also included grammar and rhetoric. The logic was further extended by Al-Farabi who categorized it into two separates groups (idea and proof). Later, Avicenna revived the study of logic and developed a relationship between temporalis and the implication. In the East, logic was developed by Buddhists and Jains.
