English Version HSC 2nd Paper 2nd Chapter Physics Note. Static Electricity. The physics is one of the oldest academic disciplines, perhaps the oldest through the inclusion of astronomy. In the last two millennia, physics was a part of natural philosophy, chemistry, certain branches of mathematics and biology, but during the scientific revolution in the 17th century, the natural sciences emerged as unique in its own right research programs. Physics intersects with many interdisciplinary areas of research, such as Biophysics and quantum chemistry, and physics limits are not rigidly defined. New ideas in physics often explain the fundamentals of other sciences mechanisms, to open new avenues of research in areas such as mathematics and philosophy.

Static Electricity

Question No. 1

+5 x 10-3 and -2.25 x 10-3C charges are kept at point B and D respectively of a rectangular field ABCD. (air medium)

a. What is angular magnification?

b. What do you understand by “the coefficient of resistance of Tungsten is 4.25 x 10-3 C?  2

c. What is the electric intensity at point A?

d. Give your opinion with mathematical reasons from which direction positive charge will flow if a metallic wire connects the point A and C.

The answer to the question no. 1

Angular magnification is the ratio of the angle subtended at the eye by the image formed by an optical instrument to that subtended at the eye by the object when not viewed through the instrument.

b. Temperature coefficient of resistance of tungsten is 4.25 x 10-3 (co)-1 means, at 0°C temperature the resistance of the two ends of the tungsten which is consists of 1m2 cross-sectional and 1 m height, 0°C temperature of the resistance in celsius creases 4.25 x 10-3 times at increase of each degree celsius temperature.

c. Here

Installed change of point B, qB = 5 x 10-3c

Installed negative change of point D, qD = 2.25 x 10-3C

x = AB = CD = 1m

y = BC = DA = 0.8 m
