Greek atomism times back to 440 BC, ascending in works by theorists such as Democritus and Epicurus. In 50 BC, the Classical theorist Lucretius lengthened upon the theory in his book De rerum natura (On the Nature of Things). Different modern concepts of science, Greek atomism was chastely logical in nature, with slight anxiety for experiential comments and no anxiety for biochemical trials.
